Description
Here is an absolutely phenomenal sounding 1940 Martin 0-17. Solid mahogany back and sides, 14 fret neck, 24.875" scale length, 1-11/16" nut width. She has a barely V-shaped neck (it is more rounded than V-ed.) All original except an astute Ebayer pointed out that the tuners are of a newer vintage. There is noticeable pick wear on the top where the owner missed the pickguard. The bridge may have been re-glued. The back has some "through finish" parallel lines that do not appear to be cracks under extreme magnification and laser light. Very nice (non-original) well-fitting Hard Shell Case. Minor fret wear. I bought this from the daughter of the original owner when I had my vintage store in Michigan. This is the loudest 0-sized guitar I have ever heard. If you don't have a small body Martin in your arsenal this is the one to add. Very solid cannon of an 80 year old Martin.Specifications
