    Description

    20" Antique twin dolls in original French box.  Box is papered wood and some of the paper is peeling off.
    These lovely wax dolls with cloth bodies and wax limbs are beautiful, all original, and in nearly mint condition.  The clothing was never removed except when it was washed so the bodies are as white and clean as the day they were made.  The pantaloons and slips all have lace that matches the dress.
    Inset hair is pulled back with ribbons.
    Blue glass eyes.
    The only flaw I could find are very slight nose rubs.
    My French is non existent but it looks like the company won the bronze metal in Paris in 1873.
