KTM 350's are a wonderful blend of big bore horsepower without the brutal hit that 500cc bikes usually deliver. Much more controllable hp/torque delivery. This is the very rare EX-C (Enduro/Cross Country Competion) version. KTM built 2 other versions as well: the MXC's (motocross) and DXC's (desert).
This bike was restored by previous owner with a brand new STANDARD BORE top end including nicasil (chrome) bore cylinder. New air filter (Uni). Newer MIchelin knobby tires and Michelin bib moose tubes (run flat--no air required) have only a few miles on them and they are at approx. 99% tread remaining. Frame was taken down to bare metal inspected and re-painted correct KTM orange. All components, bearings, seals replaced. Very nice original wheels & rims. Sidewinder rear sprocket with new chain, all new or original plastics with new reproduction graphics.
Water pump area was still quite good with just a tad of JBWeld repair, which was typical for these all magnesium motors.
Sold as a core rebuilder due to ugly repair on pipe (see photos), lights not working, tiny tears (repaired) in original seat cover, and rear brakes (new) need to be bled. New Honda front & rear master cylinders with new pads in calipers. All new cables and controls.
Sporting aluminum radiator guards and Acerbis hand guards. New Renthal handle bars, and it's original side / kick stand is included.
Motor starts easy and runs excellent. Original Del'Orto carb rebuilt and jetted perfectly. White Power (WP) inverted forks and rear shock suspension were just rebuilt by ZR-1 racing here in Phoenix. The Dutch made WP suspension component combination was (and still is) truly excellent, and is still a hard combination to beat. Suspension front & have been rebuilt (see rebuild stickers). Brembo disc brakes, Talon hubs, chromoly steel & aluminum/magnesium everywhere; Nothing but the best was utilized by the Austrian factory in order to take on the big-4 Japanese factories, and they succeeded. Today, KTM-Husqvarna currently build some of the best competition dirt motorcycles on the planet.
You gotta' love KTM. They built their bikes with a 'no cost spared' mentality, as only the finest and most expensive components were used.
KTM engines were considered some of the fastest 2-stroke engines ever built for their classes.
