Antique Bisque Folk Doll Carry Basket Estate Collection Jointed Miniature 5"

This beautiful folk woman doll comes from an estate collection that spans four generations.
This doll is all bisque, with a one-piece head and torso, jointed arms and legs, blond hair, serene facial features and black strap shoes.  She measures about 5
"
(13 cm.) She wears her original folk clothing, including a red cotton skirt, black velvet bodice jacket, organdy apron trimmed with lace, white bloomers and a wonderful carrying basket!  The clothing is hand-stitched and not removable. Any markings are hidden by the clothing.
The doll has been carefully stored for many years. It may have minor damage consistent with age as shown in photos. Please review all photos as an important part of the description.
Here is some information on the provenance of the collection which may help with the age and source of the dolls. Great grandmother "Noni" was born in Scotland in the 1860's, attended the University of California at Berkeley in the 1880's, went to Europe to study for a time, and then married and returned to Princeton, New Jersey. Her sister and brother were both missionaries in China and India, and when Noni visited them she brought back souvenir dolls. Others in the family also traveled and brought back dolls, so there is a wide variety of unusual dolls in the collection. Noni died in 1953, so we expect all dolls date prior to the early 1950's, and some are much older. The dolls were finally inherited by the great granddaughter who was born in 1947, and are offered now for your consideration.
