Antique Wax Doll with stand

Description

For your review is is an elegant antique wax doll of a woman dressed in a satin-like dress trimmed with lace and a black brocade ribbon. She is wearing a lace hat accented with a green feathered plum. Her features are delicately hand painted as are her green necklace with matching earrings.
She is a poured wax doll with a wax head, shoulder plate and upper and lower extremities attached to a composition body.
On her shoulder plate is carved the initials "G Y" and the numbers "1904". I do not know for sure what this represents- was it the doll maker and year it was manufactured or was it the little girl who received her as a special present marking her name and the date of the occasion? It's a mystery which makes it all that more curious.
I did send pictures to an online evaluator who stated the doll is probably English made as most of these dolls were made in England. They stated she doesn't match the style or body types of French made wax dolls. From the pictures they thought it could be human hair but I cannot confirm that-though her hair does match mine pretty well.  They also felt she was valued between 0-0.
She would surely be a great addition to your collection!
