    Description

A superb excavated example of one of the rarest Confederate Texas local buttons you will see.     Albert# TX-24-A.  This example has a backmark that consists of a blank depressed channel and is probably a product of C. ROUYER of New Orleans.    Tice considered this the rarest of the Texas Confederate produced buttons with the exception of the two rare staffs, TX-28 and TX29.   Button measures 21.11mm.    Beautiful rich dark excavated patina with a nice straight shank.
    See photos for condition details.
