Description
For sale is an old Cox Corsair 74 Thompson Trophy Winner model airplane.This model plane may date back to the 1970's or 1980's and is in overall good condition.
The plane has a Cox .49 model engine that has sized up and does not turn over.
The propeller on the plane looks like it has been bent possibly in a crash.
The plane itself is in good condition and it looks like it has been flown.
The wing on the plane looks like it has been cracked and repaired (see photo).
The wing seems to have no bolts to hold it to the body and may have been broken off in a crash.
In the kit is the U-Control handle with the control string still on it.
Also in the kit are two engine wrenches and a wire device for use with a battery to start the engine.
The box for its age is in good condition although there are some rips on it.
The box top is in good condition there do not appear to be any stains and the graphics on it are clear.
With the plane are a group of decals and instructions as follows(see photos): the decals with 7744 on it has some fraying on it, the "Congratulations Card" from Cox is in good shape as well as the "Notice to Dealers & Purchaser", the "Cox Co-Pilot Launching" sheet is not in good condition it has holes in it (see photo), the "Assembly Instructions" has some holes in it but on the whole is in good condition, there is a spool of thread that is in good condition and there are two reddish decals that are in poor condition.
