Found in a recent local estate sale and today offered here for your enjoyment and consideration is this beautiful serving bowl from the Waterford or Waffle depression glass pattern by famed American maker, Anchor Hocking of Lancaster, Ohio. Produced between the years of 1938 and 1944 we suspect the pattern name was inspired by its resemblance to the precious cut glass of the Waterford Company. The pattern is now retired. Measurements here are about 8.25" rim diameter x 3.25" tall. It an ideal serving piece for your famous homemade potato salad or for nearly any vegetables you might serve family style at the dinner table. Alternately it would serve admirably as a decorative fruit or centerpiece bowl on the dining room table.
You'll find this item to be in excellent vintage and presumably used condition. It's fully damage free suffering no chips or cracks. Glass is of good clarity and presents no stain, discoloration, or hard water deposits. Strong mold impression at the factory has left us today with a piece that exhibits excellent pattern definition. Surface wear is a non-issue as we find no utensil scratches or scuffing to mar the bowl's fine appearance. It's a real top shelf item that ought to easily please almost any hostess or collector.

Because most, if not all of the goods we offer are vintage, antique, and have likely been used you should expect them to exhibit the typical and expected signs of age and prior use. We’ll do our best to describe condition and make mention of any significant or noticeable wear, but we ask that you have realistic expectations of these items and not expect them to be “like new” or pristine unless specifically described as such when listed.
We generally e-mail an invoice detailing total charges including any applicable postage within 24 hours after listing end. If you prefer to use eBay checkout and pay immediately that's fine too. Additional e-mail will be sent to acknowledge receipt of payment and to notify buyers once items have been shipped. We want you to always know the status of your order.
Transactions listed with free or fixed price shipping will normally be shipped by our choice of Priority Mail or Parcel Select service depending upon destination and weight. You may always specify your choice of carrier with the understanding that we may require additional payment for costlier express services.
Your shipment is at our risk until physically delivered to you. At our option we may choose to insure or not to insure a shipment based on value and durability of the item in question. Refunds will
not
be made for insured items damaged in transit. In such case a claim must be filed with the insurer. We will gladly provide any info or other help needed in that area.
For obvious reasons we prefer and only accept payment by PayPal. It's fast, easy, and secure. Payment is expected within seven days of purchase. We will not ship any item in advance of payment. Once payment is received your item will normally be shipped within one business day.
Saturday, Sunday, and Postal holidays are not business days.
Transactions paid on Fridays will normally ship on the following Monday.
We generally consider all sales to be final, but we will gladly accept returns if notified within 30 calendar days that an item is substantially not as described. Refunds will be made to the buyer's PayPal account once the item in question is back in our possession. Postage both ways will be at the buyer's expense.
