  • Condition: We are pleased to offer for sale an attractive caramel slag 8" Shell tray / server which was made by The Imperial Glass Company. This lovely tray was made during the early 1980s when Arthur Lorch owned the company. This piece had a very short production span. Our lovely shell dish is in UNDAMAGED CONDITION without chips or cracks. It is free of disfiguring mold or production imperfections. The swirling in this piece is unique.

    Caramel Slag was one of Imperia
    l's mos
    t popular colors. This color was made from the 1960s until the 1980s.
    We have original catalog reprints from this time period to confirm this. There are an abundance of pieces available in this color which makes collecting pieces of this color a lot of fun. Most pieces of this color are marked with the Imperial IG or the ALIG backstamp, but some pieces are found without the mark.
