    Frank Zaic's famous Jasco
    THERMIC 70
    was one of the most popular tow-line glider kits of the 1940s. Announcement of record smashing flights was a really big deal back then. This model has a 70" span. The
    PLAN
    also tells how to make it into a 72" span version.
    ALL parts patterns are on this 1946
    PLAN
    . But, to further enhance your build, I bought an old kit just to include a
    separate
    sheet of ALL the parts patterns (see picture). So you won't have to cut up this beautiful
    plan
    to build it!

    I also include a wonderful vintage article titled
    THERMAL HUNTERS
    by Frank Zaic himself on how to get the most out of your tow-line gliders. The article appeared in a 1940s Flying Models magazine. I also include several other excellent TLG articles.
    My 9th picture is how the old, old Air Trails plan appeared in a 1940s issue. They were the typical draw-up-your-own-plans-on-a-piece-of-butcher-paper from a neighborhood grocery store. I blew up the old illustrations to full-size 70" span plans and put a yardstick over them to show you how your do-it-yourself plan would look.
