    An excellent example of a
    silvered
    1 piece convex pre Civil War period State of New York Militia button.   Albert# NY-12-TY.  Backmark reads " EXTRA STRONG  + PLATED + ".    Button measures 20.87mm.   Most of the
    silvered
    finish remains.
