Rare temporary FORTUNE 500 CORPORATION Event license plate low 2 digit #17 1991

You are bidding on a very rare South Carolina flat "Wren bird" style "FORTUNE 500 FORUM" special event license plate issued by the South Carolina DMV to Fortune 500 executives only during their annual convention in Charleston, SC in 1991.
Exactly 125 pairs were ever officially issued for this event by the South Carolina State DMV.
The Fortune 500 is an annual list compiled and published by Fortune magazine that ranks 500 of the largest United States corporations by total revenue for their respective fiscal years. The list includes publicly held companies, along with privately held companies for which revenues are publicly available.
Very few of those "survived" and made it to collectors' hands. This special event license plate is not a booster license plate and was specially made by the Virginia State government/DMV that was very eager to attract this Association of powerful Corporate Leaders to visit and learn that their state is a great place to do business.
